  • In addition, standard booths are offered in various screen formats.
  • Participation exclusively in combination with Main Section, Solo/Duo or New Art Section.
  • The new selection committee members have each agreed to acquire one work for their collection.

Provisions and Conditions Art Rotterdam Projections 2020

  1. Organisation 
    The art fair Art Rotterdam Projections is the property of and will be organized by Art Rotterdam BV, referred to hereafter as Art Rotterdam. Art Rotterdam has final responsibility for the content of the art fair.
  2. Location and opening times 
    Art Rotterdam Projections takes place in the Van Nelle Fabriek on the van Nelleweg 1 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands from Wednesday February 6 up to and including Sunday February 10, 2019.

  3. Assembly and disassembly by the galleries 
    The assembly by the galleries is possible only on Tuesday February 4 between 14.00 and 20.00 hrs and on Wednesday February 5 between 08.00 and 11.00 hrs. On Wednesday February 5 the booths should be equipped and cleared up by 11.00 hrs at the latest. Booths must be manned during all opening times including during the private opening times. Booths should be cleared on Sunday evening February 9 by 24.00 hrs at the latest. Disassembly takes place on Sunday February 9, from 19.00 to 24.00 hrs.
  4. Participation and registration
    Participation exclusively in combination with Main Section, Solo/Duo and New Art Section. Registration is only possible by way of the enclosed registration form. This form does not guarantee participation. All applications for participation will be presented for assessment to the selection committee. The registration form should be in the possession of Art Rotterdam by September 21, 2019 at the latest. Art Rotterdam stores the information received from applicants in its designated administration. By applying the applicant gives permission for the use and storage of this information. After a participation agreement has been concluded, Art Rotterdam can use this data for the organisation of the fair as well as for related publishing purposes in the form of a (online) catalogue, the Art Rotterdam Newspaper, website, social media, etc. Art Rotterdam is authorized to take pictures and motion pictures of the fair and the booth spaces and persons present for the publication purposes of Art Rotterdam. Participants and personnel hired by them will condone the publication and/or distribution of the recordings and indemnify Art Rotterdam for any claims regarding this matter.
  5. Acceptance, admission and payment
    Acceptance of registration will take place following approval by Art Rotterdam. Upon acceptance (half November 2019) an advance payment of € 1.500,- must be made before the 4th of December 2019. The remaining payments of the booth rental and the fixed charges plus the statutory VAT are to be paid before the 5th of January 2020. If payment requirements have not been met on time, the participant has no entitlement in any form to participation to the fair. All (payment  collection) costs arising from not paying invoices on time will be charged entirely to the participant. In the event of one or more accounts not being paid on time Art Rotterdam is entitled to provide the place allocated to another party without further intervention.
  6. Cancellation of registration / breach of contract 
    In the event of cancellation of the registration or breach of contract then, up until 3 months before the art fair, 50% of the total costs of participation must be paid by the exhibitor to Art Rotterdam. After this 100% of the total costs of participation must be paid by the exhibitor to Art Rotterdam.
  7. Booth
    Participant can choose for a deviating projection: customized participation fee in consultation with the fair organisation. The agreed amount will be confirmed by the fair organisation. A standard booth will be provided with a screening wall of 2,5 meter wide (1.900,-, ex VAT), or 4 meter wide (2.900,-, ex VAT) or 6 meter wide (3.900,-, ex VAT), HD Beamer, a low bench on which the sound system is aimed, presentation board (name gallery/artist and short description of the video). For non-Dutch galleries the reverse charge procedure may apply for VAT. The gallery has to provide Art Rotterdam with the gallery VAT number. The booth has to be kept neat and clean, at all times. The booth holder is obliged to keep the booth clear of all stock, packaging materials and such.
  8. Admission tickets for contacts and participants
    Each participant will receive from the organizers 3 VIP tickets. Each of these tickets provide an entitlement to free admission for a maximum of two persons during the preview, opening or on other exhibition days. In addition there will be 75 tickets for 1 person for the official opening and 25 tickets for 1 person for the official opening or free admission to the other exhibition days. Participants are obliged to wear the fully completed ‘participants badges’ in a clearly visible manner. Each booth holder is entitled to a maximum of 4 badges. These are strictly personal and may only be used by the participants themselves. In the event of misuse these badges may be immediately withdrawn by the organizers.
  9. Security
    The organizers will provide security outside of assembly, opening and disassembly times from Tuesday February 4, 08.00 hrs up to and including Sunday February 9, 24.00 hrs. In order to prevent theft during the art fair all purchases leaving the art fair will have to be provided with a fully-completed and signed ‘exit slip’ which will be issued by the organizers. During assembly, opening and disassembly times the care of goods is expressly at the expense and risk of the participant.
  10. Qualification
    Art Rotterdam is not liable for loss, theft or damage to persons or goods in whatever form. The participant is obliged to take out proper insurance for this. The organizers are entitled to ask for proof of insurance if they consider it necessary.
  11. Force majeur
    In case the art fair is cancelled, delayed or shortened through unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond its control then Art Rotterdam may not be held liable in any event. Participating galleries, in that case, cannot make any claim for damages or repayment by Art Rotterdam.
  12. General
    Art Rotterdam will decide in all cases which are not foreseen by these provisions and conditions. The instructions of Art Rotterdam or an executive organizer appointed by Art Rotterdam must be complied with at all times. In the event of a dispute the Court of Justice of Rotterdam is solely competent. All information has been put together with care but Art Rotterdam may not be held liable for its accuracy and no rights may be derived from the details provided.
